The theme for the 2019 World 100 Reputation Network Annual Conference, to be held in Manchester, has been confirmed, with a focus on how universities can build reputation through working with their communities and wider society.
The conference, which takes place on 10-11 September 2019, will be entitled A Reputation for Relevance – Universities Engaging with Society.
We are now looking for speakers, for both plenary sessions and workshops, and would welcome any suggestions from W100 members. Please send any thoughts to info@theworld100.com.
Themes might include the how universities are building a reputation for working with local communities; how students are prepared for roles as citizens; how we prove higher education is contributing to society.
One session already planned is a round-table with high profile media academics; any suggestions from members about faculty at their university who have a strong presence in the media – and understand the benefit this might bring to the institution’s reputation – would be very welcome.
Alan Ferns, Sally-Ann Sykes & colleagues at the University of Manchester are already well advanced in planning a fantastic programme for Members Day on 9th September and an engaging social programme for the whole conference.
We look forward to seeing you in Manchester.
