Dr. Ki-jeong Lee - Vice President of International Affairs

Dr. Ki-jeong Lee is Professor of Linguistics and the Vice President of International Affairs at Hanyang University. He is also a current Vice President of the Asia Pacific Association for International Education. Lee has served in leadership roles for several international organizations, including President of the Korean Association of Foreign Students Administrators (KAFSA) and Chairman of the Evaluation Committee for University Internationalization, Ministry of Education and Human Resources. He received his undergraduate degree from Hanyang University before obtaining a master’s and doctorate degrees in linguistics from the University of Minnesota in 1992. Lee joined the ISEP Board in 2017.

About Hanyang University

Hanyang University is a leading private research university in South Korea, originally founded in 1939 as Dong-A Engineering Institute which became the (Hanyang Engineering College).

Its founding principle is based around the spirit of practising 'Love in Deed and Truth'. This adheres to Article 2 of South Korea's Framework Act on Education, which is the nation's traditional philosophy of Hongik Ingan - the universal welfare of mankind.
